Aven's video inspection systems iVue and iScope are self-contained magnification units that do not require any additional hardware or software. They are fully plug-and-play devices. Images are captured on screen, allowing users to save files to a USB memory stick or internal hard drive. Also, images can be emailed directly. Utilizing the on-screen virtual keyboard, text can be written using the touch screen or a mouse.
A USB keyboard may also be plugged into the unit and a VGA output is provided standard with each, allowing it to be hooked up to a projector or larger monitor. This makes these units ideal for training and educational purposes. The unit has a built in LAN (Ethernet) connection as well as a Wi-Fi card. Simply connect to a network or use an internet email program to send emails directly from the unit.
