GE Energy's MicroTLynx series of power modules are non-isolated dc-dc converters that can deliver up to 12A of output current. The MicroTLynx series has a wide input voltage range of 2.4V to 5.5V (3.3V/5V version) and 4.5 to 14V (5V/12V version). These modules provide a precisely regulated output voltage from 0.69Vdc to 3.63Vdc (3.3/5Vin version) and from 0.69Vdc to 5.5Vdc (5/12Vin), which is programmable via an external resistor. Standard features include remote On/Off, programmable output voltage, monotonic start-up/shutdown, over-current and over-temperature protection, and output voltage sequencing. The new Tunable-Loop feature allows engineers to optimize the control loop to significantly improve transient response and reduce the amount of external filtering. A newly introduced ruggedized (-D) version of the MicroTLynx is capable of operating in an extremely high temperature environment of up to 105°C and also can withstand higher levels of shock and vibration that meet MIL Standards.
