Stackpole Electronics' SM series of surface mount molded wirewound resistors has recently been expanded to 4 W, making it one of the few surface mount solutions providing 4 W of power dissipation. The SM8035 offers a single component solution to these higher power SMD requirements in a 0.8" x 0.35" footprint. Resistance value range up to 5 KΩ with tolerances as low as 0.1 percent. The robust wirewound element has an operating temperature range of up to 275 °C making it suitable for applications in many types of harsh environments.
